When Magnetic Beats Permanent
- You use your personal vehicle for work — magnetic signs come off when you’re off the clock
- Family veto on permanent lettering — spouses sometimes draw the line at branding the family Suburban
- Lease vehicle — no permanent modification, easier at turn-in
- Short-term contracts — temporary branding for specific project work
- Seasonal businesses — branding only during the busy months
- Multiple business hats — swap between different business signs as needed
- Just getting started — magnetic to test the brand before committing to permanent lettering
Magnetic Vehicle Signs
Pairs of magnetic signs (both door panels), printed full-color on flexible magnetic sheet with UV-laminate top layer. Standard sizes:
- 12″ × 18″ — standard small, works on most car doors
- 12″ × 24″ — standard large, common on trucks and SUVs
- 18″ × 24″ — oversized, work-truck visibility
- Custom sizes for unusual vehicles
Removable Vinyl (When Magnetic Won’t Stick)
Magnetic signs don’t work on aluminum or fiberglass body panels (modern Ford F-150 hoods/beds, many SUVs, food trailers). For those, we use **removable adhesive vinyl** — cut or printed exactly like permanent vinyl, but with a removable adhesive that peels off cleanly with heat when you’re ready.
Event & Promotional Signage
- Yard signs — coroplast political-style signs for business promotion, real estate, events
- Banner signs — vinyl banners with grommets, indoor and outdoor rated
- Step-and-repeat backdrops — printed backdrops for events and photo ops
- Foam-board signs — indoor signage for events, trade shows, conferences
- A-frame sandwich boards — sidewalk signage with vinyl panels
- Pop-up banners — retractable trade-show banners with stand
Retail Promotional Graphics
Removable adhesive vinyl for:
- Window promo signage (“25% OFF SALE”) that peels off when the promotion ends
- Floor graphics for directional signage or promotions
- Wall murals on smooth painted walls
- Event-specific branding that needs to come down after
Why Magnetic Signs Sometimes Fail (And How to Avoid It)
- Aluminum or fiberglass panel — magnetic doesn’t stick. We test before quoting.
- Painted-on-paint surfaces — long-term magnetic exposure can trap moisture and affect paint. We recommend removing magnetic signs at least monthly to clean and dry both surfaces.
- High-speed driving — sustained 70+ mph in heavy rain can lift edges. Most signs have round corners and grippy backing to minimize.
- Curved surfaces — magnetic works best on flat door panels. Heavily curved panels may need vinyl instead.
Pricing
Magnetic signs are affordable; sets of two (left and right door) come together for the same design. Banner and yard sign pricing depends on size, material, and quantity. Here’s how our quotes work.
